Zcash Developers Plan Privacy Fix for ZEC Swaps on NEAR Intents
Edited by Steinar Vigdel Kolnes, Editor, Oslo
The Zakura team proposes separate keys for each NEAR Intents swap to limit potential exposure of users’ payment histories to future quantum computers.

Zcash developers behind Zakura are planning a change intended to protect the privacy of ZEC swaps made through NEAR Intents, according to CoinDesk.
The proposal would assign a separate key to every swap. It targets a potential privacy risk involving refund addresses recorded on NEAR’s public blockchain.
The aim is to prevent a publicly visible refund address from becoming a way for future quantum computers to uncover a user’s broader payment history. The change remains a planned fix, rather than an announced deployment.
