A Seoul court acquitted the influencer known as Jonber Kim after prosecutors failed to establish a link between his conduct and token buyers’ mistaken beliefs.

A Seoul court has acquitted Park, a 45-year-old South Korean influencer known as “Jonber Kim,” in a crypto fraud case involving an alleged $253 million scheme, according to Bitcoin.com News.
Prosecutors accused Park of leading a fraudulent token manipulation operation and sought a 20-year prison sentence.
The acquittal hinged on a gap in the prosecution’s case: it did not establish that Park’s deceptive conduct caused the mistaken beliefs held by token buyers.
