Qubic says most stolen funds remain onchain, while MEXC has frozen the remainder as validators prepare to vote on a recovery plan.
Qubic halted its blockchain after an attacker drained about 1,400 wallets linked to weak seeds, according to Cointelegraph.
The project said 87.1% of the stolen funds were still onchain. The remaining portion had been frozen at cryptocurrency exchange MEXC.
Network validators are preparing to vote on a recovery plan. The proposed response has yet to receive their approval.
