France’s National Assembly adopted an amendment targeting certain stablecoin swaps, with exit-tax and self-custody reporting proposals still under review.
France’s National Assembly has approved a crypto tax amendment aimed at certain transactions involving stablecoin swaps, according to Cointelegraph.
The measure concerns a subset of stablecoin exchanges rather than all such transactions. Its adoption by the Assembly does not, on its own, establish that it has become law.
Separate proposals concerning exit taxes and reporting requirements for self-custodial wallets remain under consideration. Those measures have not reached the same stage as the stablecoin tax amendment.
