Zakura has proposed a privacy safeguard for Zcash swaps through Near Intents to limit transaction links that future quantum computers might uncover.

Zcash developer Zakura has proposed an additional privacy measure for swaps routed through Near Intents, targeting potential risks from future quantum computing capabilities.
The proposal centers on using a separate key for each swap. It aims to prevent an exposed refund address from becoming a link to a user’s broader transaction history.
The approach is precautionary rather than a response to a current breach. According to Bitcoin.com News, quantum computers are not currently cracking Zcash, and the safeguard remains a proposal.
