The XRP Ledger is preparing for an Oct. 23 security update, while its proposed native lending system has yet to secure sufficient approval.

The XRP Ledger is approaching a planned Oct. 23 activation of fixCleanup3_4_0, an update intended to address a security flaw, according to Bitcoin.com News.
The flaw could allow certain authorized accounts to create tokens when they should instead be destroying them. The upcoming change is designed to correct that behavior.
Separately, the ledger’s proposed native lending system remains pending. It has not received enough support to proceed, leaving its approval unresolved as the security update approaches.
