An experimental XRP Ledger proposal would allow companies to cover account reserves so customers and AI agents could start using stablecoins without acquiring XRP first.

XRP Ledger developers have proposed an experimental change that would allow users to create wallets without holding XRP themselves, according to CoinDesk.
Under the proposal, companies could cover the reserve required for accounts belonging to customers or AI agents. Users could then begin with stablecoins rather than first obtaining XRP.
The change would shift responsibility for funding those reserves to participating companies, rather than eliminate the requirement. It remains a proposal, not an implemented feature.
