VanEck has asked the SEC to approve the withdrawal of its proposed Lido Staked Ethereum ETF, roughly a year after filing for the product.

VanEck has requested permission from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to withdraw its proposed Lido Staked Ethereum exchange-traded fund before launch, according to Bitcoin.com News.
The request was submitted through a Form RW dated Oct. 14. Matthew Babinsky, vice president at VanEck Digital Assets, asked the regulator to approve the withdrawal.
The move comes roughly a year after VanEck filed for the fund. The brief filing, as described in the report, did not provide a reason for the decision.
