Utah filed felony charges against Kalshi and its co-founders, alleging an undercover agent made 12 sports bets on the platform.

Utah has brought felony charges against prediction market platform Kalshi and its co-founders over sports betting, according to Decrypt.
The state alleges that an undercover agent placed 12 sports wagers through Kalshi. Those transactions underpin Utah’s allegations about betting on the platform.
The charges came one day after the Commodity Futures Trading Commission sued Utah in an effort to prevent the state from pursuing enforcement actions. The filings put state prosecutors and the federal regulator at odds over Kalshi’s operations.
