USDC now accounts for 56% of euro stablecoin trading as MiCA-related exchange restrictions on USDT reshape the market, according to Kaiko.

USDC has moved ahead of USDT in euro stablecoin trading, reaching a 56% market share, according to Kaiko data reported by Cointelegraph.
The increase since January 2024 has been accompanied by deeper USDC liquidity, marking a shift in the trading conditions for the two stablecoins.
The change comes as exchanges restrict USDT under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, known as MiCA. Those restrictions are reshaping the euro stablecoin trading market.
