Tokenization, Stablecoins Could Hold Ground After Democratic Sweep

Blockchain-based finance may keep advancing under current laws even as broader US crypto policy faces fresh uncertainty.

Wall Street’s efforts to move traditional financial products onto blockchain infrastructure could continue despite a Democratic electoral sweep, according to experts cited by CoinDesk.
Tokenization and stablecoins may be relatively insulated because companies can pursue some initiatives within existing legal frameworks, reducing their dependence on new crypto legislation.
The wider regulatory outlook remains less certain. The SEC and CFTC could face stronger oversight, while questions may emerge over the durability of crypto-related rules adopted by the agencies.
That could leave US digital-asset policy on separate tracks, with tokenized finance progressing under established laws while broader crypto rules remain subject to political and regulatory change.
