Thailand Finalizes Bitcoin and Ether ETF Rules as Trading Activity Shrinks
Thailand has finalized rules for bitcoin and ether ETFs, allowing listings from Oct. 16 as the local market faces a sharp decline in active traders.

Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission has completed its regulatory framework for bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds, with the first products eligible to list from Oct. 16.
The move opens a route for cryptocurrency ETFs in Thailand. Bitcoin was trading near $82,000, according to the Bitcoin.com News report.
The rollout comes against a weaker backdrop for local trading activity. Thailand’s market has lost more than half of its active traders since 2024, leaving the planned products facing a substantially smaller active trading base.
