Tesla reported quarterly profit of $787 million as spending increased on robotics and autonomous vehicles, according to Decrypt.

Tesla’s quarterly profit fell 43% to $787 million from $1.37 billion, according to Decrypt. The decline came as the company sharply increased spending on robots and self-driving vehicles.
The automaker has begun producing Optimus, its robot project, as it expands its work beyond conventional electric cars.
Tesla also aims to deliver its driverless Cybercabs to customers by the end of the year. That timetable remains a company target rather than a confirmed delivery outcome.
