Sui Backs DATA With $30M as Existing Chain Prepares to Wind Down
DATA is set to move to Sui with balances transferred one-for-one, while its existing chain winds down validator staking and smart contract support.
Sui is backing DATA with $30 million as the network prepares to retire its existing blockchain, according to The Defiant.
The planned transition would move DATA balances to Sui on a one-for-one basis. The migration would shift those balances away from the chain previously known as Story.
Support for validator staking and smart contracts on the outgoing chain is expected to wind down as part of the transition.
