Stellar Reveals Fee-Free Network With 7 Million TPS in Early Tests

Early tests recorded 7.02 million payments per second within one validator, while the network’s relationship to Stellar remains undecided.
Stellar has unveiled a fee-free network whose early benchmarks recorded 7.02 million payments per second, according to The Defiant.
The tests used eight machines operating within a single validator. That setup limits what the reported figure establishes: it is a preliminary benchmark, not a demonstrated throughput rate across multiple validators.
The foundation says it has yet to determine how the new network will relate to Stellar, leaving its place in the broader ecosystem unresolved.
