StarkWare Backs Starknet L1 Shift, but No Decision Is Confirmed
StarkWare favors a layer-1 shift for Starknet, while the network still settles on Ethereum and has described the move as undecided.
StarkWare has identified a shift to a standalone layer-1 network as its preferred direction for Starknet, according to The Defiant.
Starknet currently continues to use Ethereum for settlement. The reported position does not establish that a transition has been approved.
A day earlier, Starknet’s official account said the prospect of becoming a layer-1 network remained under discussion rather than a settled plan. That leaves a distinction between StarkWare’s favored path and the network’s stated decision status.
