Robinhood plans to add Ripple’s dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin to its app later this year as the companies broaden their partnership.
Robinhood plans to make Ripple USD (RLUSD) available through its app later this year, according to Bitcoin.com News. The planned rollout would bring the dollar-backed stablecoin to a platform with 29 million customers.
The agreement broadens Robinhood’s relationship with Ripple beyond retail access. It also covers settlement, trading and treasury operations across retail and institutional finance.
App availability remains a planned step rather than a completed launch. The report did not specify an exact rollout date or which customers would initially be eligible.
