Ripple Says RLUSD Secures Investment-Grade Moody’s Ratings

Ripple says RLUSD received investment-grade ratings from Moody’s a day after final approval for a national trust bank, with bankruptcy risks qualifying the assessment.
Ripple said its Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin received A2 and P-1 ratings from Moody’s Ratings, describing it as the first stablecoin to obtain an investment-grade assessment from the agency.
The ratings came one day after Ripple secured final approval for a national trust bank, according to the company.
The issuer aims to maintain reserves equal to 103% of RLUSD’s outstanding value. Bankruptcy-related risks nevertheless remain a qualification in Moody’s assessment.
