Qivalis Wins Dutch E-Money License for Euro Token
Qivalis has obtained an e-money license from the Dutch central bank to provide onchain euro settlement infrastructure.
The Dutch central bank has granted Qivalis an e-money license, authorizing the company to offer infrastructure for settling euro transactions onchain.
Qivalis is backed by banks including BBVA, BNP Paribas and ING. Its planned offering centers on a euro token compliant with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, known as MiCA.
The authorization marks a regulatory step for the bank-backed project as it develops euro-denominated settlement services using blockchain technology.
