Osmosis Ends OSMO Inflation, Moves Staking Rewards to Revenue

Osmosis has ended OSMO inflation, removing an estimated two percentage points of issuance-funded staking APR and freezing roughly 51.9 million pre-minted developer tokens.
Osmosis has stopped inflationary issuance of its OSMO token and shifted staking rewards to revenue, according to The Defiant.
The change eliminates the issuance-funded portion of staking returns, estimated at about two percentage points of annual percentage rate (APR).
The move also freezes approximately 51.9 million tokens previously minted for developers. That freeze concerns an existing token allocation, separate from the end of new issuance.
