New York’s attorney general is seeking about $1.37 billion from NovaTech’s founders and has reached settlements totaling nearly $6 million with four promoters.

New York’s attorney general has asked a court to require NovaTech’s founders to pay approximately $1.37 billion in connection with an alleged cryptocurrency scam, according to Decrypt.
The case involves allegations that prayer groups were used to attract victims. The founders fled the country, the report said.
Separately, the attorney general reached settlements totaling nearly $6 million with four leading NovaTech promoters. The payment sought from the founders remains a request to the court, rather than an order already issued.
