NEAR has opened voting on HSP-029, a proposal to bring token issuance down to 1.6%, according to The Defiant.
The proposed reduction would take place over 24 months, starting after a 90-day grace period rather than taking effect immediately.
The vote is not the only step required to implement the change. Validators would also need to separately adopt a network upgrade.
