Missouri Orders Polymarket, Kalshi to Halt Sports Event Contracts

Missouri sent cease-and-desist letters to six platforms over sports-related event contracts, warning of enforcement if they continue offering them to residents.
Missouri has issued cease-and-desist letters to Polymarket, Kalshi and four other platforms, demanding that they stop offering sports-related event contracts to people in the state.
Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said describing sports wagers as event contracts does not allow prediction market operators to bypass applicable laws.
Crypto.com, Novig, Underdog and Robinhood also received letters. The state warned the companies that continuing to offer the products to Missouri residents could lead to enforcement action.
