Metaplanet Plans ¥52 Billion Bond Issue to Refinance Bitcoin-Backed Debt
Metaplanet plans to issue ¥52 billion in bonds, replacing some Bitcoin-backed loans with unsecured debt and allocating up to ¥28.3 billion for share buybacks.

Metaplanet is planning a ¥52 billion bond issuance to refinance part of its Bitcoin-backed borrowing, according to The Defiant.
The proposed financing would shift some debt from loans secured by Bitcoin to unsecured borrowing, changing the collateral requirements for that portion of its funding.
The plan also includes allocating up to ¥28.3 billion to repurchase company shares. The bond issuance and buyback allocation remain proposed rather than completed transactions.
