Meta Plans Non-Voting Shares to Fund AI Expansion

Meta plans to issue free non-voting shares in January, creating a route to raise equity for AI spending while preserving Mark Zuckerberg’s voting control.

Meta plans to give shareholders one additional share without voting rights for each share they hold in January, according to Decrypt.
The new stock would provide a way for the company to raise equity to support its artificial intelligence buildout without weakening Mark Zuckerberg’s voting power.
Zuckerberg holds 60.6% of Meta’s voting power. The structure would allow Meta to seek additional capital while keeping that control intact.
