Edited by Steinar Vigdel Kolnes, Editor, Oslo
Mastercard and BVNK have introduced a platform that gives banks, fintechs and businesses a single API for fiat and stablecoin transactions.

Mastercard and BVNK have launched the Global Money Platform, bringing traditional currencies and stablecoins together in one service for banks, fintech companies and enterprises.
Through a single API, customers can hold funds, convert between fiat and stablecoins, and use them for spending. The platform combines these functions in a shared integration.
The launch marks the first major integration following Mastercard’s $1.8 billion acquisition of BVNK. Support for agentic commerce is planned, but was not described as available at launch.
