Ledger Theft Funds Converted to USDD Outside Tether’s Freeze Controls
Tron records show 2 million USDT linked to the Ledger theft was converted into USDD, while Bitquery estimates Tether froze $10 million across the broader theft cluster.

Funds associated with the Ledger theft were moved from USDT into USDD, taking the converted assets outside Tether’s freeze controls, according to The Defiant.
Records on Tron show a conversion of 2 million USDT through USDD’s stability module. The transaction shifted those funds out of the Tether-issued stablecoin.
Separately, Bitquery estimates that Tether froze $10 million across the wider cluster linked to the theft. That estimate covers the broader group of associated funds, rather than just the reported USDD conversion.
