L2 Capital Joins Newton Plan to Tokenize $500M in Pre-IPO AI Shares
Hong Kong-based L2 Capital has signed on as the first partner for a platform under development by Newton Labs to tokenize $500 million in pre-IPO AI shares.
L2 Capital has agreed to work with Newton Labs on plans to tokenize $500 million worth of shares in AI companies that have yet to go public, according to The Defiant.
The Hong Kong firm is the first partner for the platform, which Newton Labs is still developing. The agreement does not indicate that the shares have already been tokenized.
The proposed system would embed compliance rules within each token and check them before any transfer is finalized, making those checks part of the settlement process.
