Keystone plans to destroy 18,835 wallets after a device-authentication key was stolen, with extra checks needed for some older-key devices.

Keystone is set to destroy 18,835 wallets following the theft of a device-authentication key, according to The Defiant.
Users who received wallets using the old key after Oct. 20 need to carry out additional checks to confirm their devices are authentic.
That requirement applies even when a wallet clears Keystone’s online verification process. For affected devices, passing the online check alone is not sufficient to establish authenticity.
