Keystone has expanded its breach disclosure, saying attackers stole a verification key as well as customer information.

Keystone has disclosed that hackers took a key used to verify whether its wallets are genuine, adding to the scope of a previously reported breach.
The company initially reported a leak of customer information. Its subsequent disclosure identified the theft of the authenticity-checking key, according to Cointelegraph.
The stolen key could allow counterfeit wallets to pass authenticity checks. The disclosure describes a potential risk, rather than confirming that counterfeit devices have successfully passed those checks.
