Karpelès Reports Ledger Hardware Implants at Two More Resellers

Karpelès reported added hardware in Ledger devices from two more resellers, while Ledger said inspections of German inventory found no evidence of tampering.
Karpelès has reported hardware implants in Ledger devices sourced from two additional resellers, according to The Defiant.
Ledger said checks of its inventory in Germany uncovered no signs of modification. The company also said it had not confirmed any wallet drain linked to a device purchased outside Southeast Asia.
Ledger’s authenticity check cannot identify the added hardware. That limitation leaves the check unable to rule out the type of physical modification described in the report.
