Kalshi Valuation Reaches $40 Billion With Fresh $1 Billion Funding

Kalshi has raised $1 billion in a round led by Sequoia Capital and Wellington Management, bringing the prediction-market operator’s valuation to $40 billion.
Prediction-market operator Kalshi has received $1 billion in new funding, according to Bitcoin.com News. The deal values the company at $40 billion.
Sequoia Capital and Wellington Management led the investment. The valuation is about 82% higher than the $22 billion figure reported in May.
The latest financing is Kalshi’s second $1 billion raise in approximately five months. The company is also preparing to compete with established derivatives exchanges, the report said.
