Judge Denies Gemini Bid to Undo $5 Million CFTC Settlement

Gemini's 2025 settlement remains in force after a U.S. judge rejected its challenge, despite support from the CFTC.
A U.S. judge has denied crypto exchange Gemini’s request to overturn a $5 million settlement with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, according to CoinDesk.
Gemini had already paid the settlement amount. Its challenge sought to remove the court order and restrictions tied to the 2025 agreement.
The CFTC supported Gemini’s effort, saying the case should not have been brought. Despite that position, the judge left the settlement’s requirements in place.
