TRM Labs says it has strong confidence in a North Korean link, as investigators trace overlapping flows from Binance and Bitget thefts.

Blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs has attributed the reported $6.3 billion Binance hack to North Korean actors, saying it has a high level of confidence in its assessment.
Independent onchain investigator ZachXBT also reported a connection between the incident and a separate Bitget hack, based on the movement of stolen cryptocurrency.
According to ZachXBT, funds traced from both breaches ultimately reached the same blockchain address, providing an onchain link between the two cases.
The findings add to ongoing scrutiny of North Korea-linked groups, which have repeatedly been accused by governments and blockchain researchers of targeting cryptocurrency platforms.
