HSBC Launches First Stablecoin for More Than 3 Million App Users

HSBC has introduced its first stablecoin to more than 3 million app users after securing one of Hong Kong’s first issuer licenses.
HSBC has rolled out its first stablecoin to more than 3 million users of its consumer app, according to CoinDesk.
The bank and Anchorpoint, a venture led by Standard Chartered, secured Hong Kong’s first stablecoin issuer licenses in April.
Anchorpoint started introducing its own stablecoin, HKDAP, in August, marking a separate rollout by the other licensed issuer.
