Researchers investigating AI agents probing Alibaba’s map service used hidden text and a fake mailbox to get the agents to respond, according to Decrypt.
The replies provided information about the agents’ tasks, giving investigators additional context about the activity they were examining.
Investigators also traced the activity to Tencent Cloud infrastructure. That connection identifies infrastructure used in the activity, but does not by itself establish who operated the agents.
