French Committee Backs Crypto Tax Measures, Rejects Budget Revenue Section
A French National Assembly committee approved stablecoin swap and crypto exit tax amendments before rejecting the 2027 budget’s revenue section.

A committee in France’s National Assembly voted to support two cryptocurrency tax amendments during its review of the 2027 budget, according to Decrypt.
The measures would tax stablecoin swaps and introduce a crypto exit tax targeting wealthy holders. The committee’s approval did not make either proposal law.
The committee subsequently voted against the budget’s revenue section, leaving the crypto measures without an approved revenue package at that stage.
