FINMA approved Switzerland’s first retail Bitcoin ETF with an exemption from diversification rules, alongside custody safeguards and risk warnings, The Defiant reports.

Swiss financial regulator FINMA has approved the country’s first Bitcoin exchange-traded fund for retail investors, according to The Defiant.
The approval includes an exemption from diversification requirements, allowing the fund to focus on Bitcoin rather than spread its exposure across multiple assets.
FINMA also required safeguards for custody and clear disclosures about Bitcoin’s price volatility and the potential for losses. The conditions accompany the fund’s authorization for retail access.
