A security lapse at Indian certificate issuer eMudhra affected some Teku and Besu configurations, while default mainnet nodes were not exposed.

Ethereum client developers rushed to release fixes after a security failure at eMudhra, an Indian certificate issuer, affected certain Teku and Besu setups, CoinDesk reported.
The incident involved a key-handling error that caused some configurations of the two clients to accept forged certificates as trustworthy.
The exposure did not extend to mainnet nodes running with default settings. The reported risk was limited to particular Teku and Besu configurations.
