Discord Public Chats Set to Become Searchable on Google
Edited by Steinar Vigdel Kolnes, Editor, Oslo
Chats on large public Discord servers are expected to appear in Google searches, raising questions about how widely users’ messages could be seen.
Conversations on large public Discord servers will soon be discoverable through Google, according to Cointelegraph.
The change would extend the reach of those discussions beyond the communities where they took place, making messages easier for people outside the servers to find.
That broader visibility raises privacy concerns for participants. The source excerpt does not specify when the change will take effect or explain how users can opt out.
