Curaçao Drops Hacked Casino Licensing Portal, Misses Update Deadline
Curaçao’s gambling regulator will retire its hacked licensing portal but had not published interim arrangements by its Oct. 9 target.
The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has decided not to restore the online system used to license offshore casinos following a hack disclosed in September.
The regulator had targeted Oct. 9 to explain temporary arrangements. According to Bitcoin.com News, no details had been published by Tuesday morning.
The decision leaves the existing portal permanently offline, while the regulator’s promised explanation of how licensing will be handled in the interim remains outstanding.
