An Ipsos survey found 13% of Americans consider a candidate’s support for crypto growth very important, despite $176 million in industry midterm spending.

The crypto industry has spent $176 million on the midterm elections, according to Decrypt, while a new survey suggests the issue carries limited weight with Americans.
In the poll, conducted by Ipsos for the DeFi Education Fund, 13% of respondents rated a candidate’s backing for crypto growth as very important.
The findings come ahead of elections scheduled for the following week, highlighting a gap between the industry’s political spending and the importance Americans assign to candidates’ support for its growth.
