CoinMarketCap Buys Crypto Derivatives Data Platform CoinGlass
Binance-owned CoinMarketCap has acquired CoinGlass, expanding its market-data offering with derivatives analytics in a deal whose financial terms were not disclosed.
CoinMarketCap, the cryptocurrency data business owned by Binance, has bought analytics platform CoinGlass, according to The Defiant. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
CoinGlass tracks derivatives-market indicators, including open interest, funding rates and liquidations, alongside options data. The deal adds those capabilities to the Binance group's market-data operations.
The acquisition also places a platform that gathers trading data from competing venues within Binance's corporate group.
