India’s CoinDCX says 15.99 million USDT was taken from retired wallets, pushing losses from two incidents to almost $60 million.

Mumbai-based crypto exchange CoinDCX has confirmed a loss of 15.99 million USDT, days after its CEO described the situation as a “false alarm,” according to Decrypt.
The exchange said the funds were drained from wallets it had taken out of service following a $44 million hack last year.
The latest disclosure puts combined losses from the two incidents at nearly $60 million. CoinDCX said it would absorb the latest loss.
