Bullish Joins Coalition to Link Tokenized Shares to Official Ownership

Bullish, Equiniti, Alpaca, Apex Fintech Solutions and Drivewealth have launched the Issuer Sponsored Token Coalition to address ownership gaps in tokenized equities.

The initiative targets a distinction between tokens that track stocks and shares that establish ownership in a company. The group wants blockchain-based shares tied directly to issuers’ official shareholder registers.

That approach aims to retain voting rights, dividend entitlements and rights associated with corporate actions. The effort comes as Wall Street explores using blockchains for publicly traded equities.
