BNB Chain Plans Parallel Layer 1 With BNB as Native Token

BNB Chain is developing an EVM-compatible Layer 1 that will operate alongside its main network and use BNB instead of introducing a new token.
BNB Chain is preparing an additional Layer 1 blockchain focused on speed, according to Bitcoin.com News. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, has backed the initiative.
The planned network will be compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine and run alongside BNB Chain’s existing main network, rather than replace it.
BNB will be used to pay gas fees, support staking and participate in governance on the new chain. The project does not plan to introduce a separate token.
