Bitwise and Hyperliquid Push for Clearer SEC Rules on Crypto
Edited by Steinar Vigdel Kolnes, Editor, Oslo
Bitwise and Hyperliquid are seeking clearer SEC treatment of crypto asset classifications, secondary-market trading and airdrops as a public comment window nears its end.

Bitwise and Hyperliquid are pressing the US Securities and Exchange Commission for rule changes addressing token trading and airdrops, according to Cointelegraph.
The firms want greater clarity on how crypto assets are classified and how regulatory requirements apply when those assets trade on secondary markets.
Their push comes as the SEC’s public comment period draws to a close. The requests seek clearer regulatory treatment but do not represent an adopted policy change.
