South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has reported a cyberattack affecting an internal system used by employees, according to CoinDesk.
The exchange said the affected system operates separately from its trading platform. The report did not establish that the trading platform had been compromised.
Bithumb is still assessing whether the breach exposed customer information. The incident comes amid cyberattacks targeting financial firms in South Korea.
