Bitget Revises Sept. 24 Breach Estimate to $387.5 Million
Bitget increased its estimate of assets transferred to attackers after adding previously omitted Zcash and TRON assets to its accounting.
Bitget now estimates that approximately $387.5 million in assets were transferred to attackers during its Sept. 24 breach, according to The Defiant.
The revised figure, disclosed in a Sept. 25 update, is $35.9 million above the exchange’s earlier estimate of $351.6 million.
Bitget attributed the increase to broader accounting that included Zcash and TRON assets left out of the initial tally. The revision updates the estimated value of assets affected by the breach.
