Bitcoin fell below $81,000 as expectations for an October Federal Reserve rate increase shifted following Wednesday’s inflation report.

Bitcoin traded below $81,000 again as uncertainty over the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate outlook weighed on the cryptocurrency.
Following Wednesday’s inflation report, market bets briefly put the likelihood of an October rate increase at close to 50%.
Those expectations have since eased, leaving the prospect of an October hike less pronounced than immediately after the report.
